2024 September Sweet Treats Giveaway Day 7 – No Matter How Far by Sara Beth Williams

Welcome to Day 7 of my September Sweet Treats Giveaway! Today our featured Trinity Lakes Romance book is No Matter How Far by Sara Beth Williams. Don’t forget to comment on this post to gain an additional entry in the Grand Prize Drawing (see below).

Let’s talk about sweet treats we can indulge in while reading No Matter How Far.

Today we’re visiting with Jocelyn and Dylan. Jocelyn is a paramedic and she meets Dylan when he’s injured at the Trinity Lakes Ski Resort. Later in the story, Dylan makes chicken soup and hot tea for Jocelyn when she’s feeling sick.

For our sweet treat today, we’ll have soup for lunch at the Trinity Lakes Ski Resort. It’s winter and it’s warm indoors with the wood fire burning. Would you like chicken soup, or something else?

Here’s the book description for Jocelyn and Dylan’s romance story in NO MATTER HOW FAR:

He ran away to escape his fear. She faces her fear every day.

After the death of his late wife, associate professor Dylan Mackay never thought he’d fall for another woman, until the stubborn and beautiful Jocelyn rescues him from a ski slope—though he needed no such rescuing. The blissful whirlwind week spent together at Trinity Lakes Ski Resort is one of the happiest in recent memory.

After a messy breakup followed by her parents’ sudden divorce, local Trinity Lakes paramedic Jocelyn Monroe had sworn off dating, until she is forced to rescue an injured Australian against his will while volunteering for the mountain ski patrol. Dylan is stubborn, handsome, intelligent and honorable, with a swoony Aussie accent to boot and she finds herself falling head over heels before the week is out.

Once down the mountain, the spontaneity and carelessness of their rushed relationship comes full circle in devastating blows. Each one grapples with life-altering decisions that would result in moving out of Trinity Lakes—her a short distance away, him across the world. Neither one wants to leave the other, nor do they want to leave the charming town itself. Can they lean on God and trust that He will hold onto them no matter how far they go?

A second chance, opposites attract, small town Contemporary Christian romance.

Visit Trinity Lakes and meet the fun and quirky characters who value family, faith, and happily-ever-after.

Trinity Lakes Romance series can be read as standalone Christian contemporary romances. For a richer reading experience, and the opportunity to learn more about the characters who appear in multiple books, I’d recommend reading the series in order. The ebooks are available for your reading pleasure in Kindle Unlimited.

  1. I love chicken soup when I’m sick. I love reading Sara Beth Williams books. The one that got away from me is the Covid Diaries. I don’t know how this happened, but I will be reading it soon.

  2. Sorry once again. When I hit Post Comment, it keeps telling me the comment is a duplicate? (Duplicate comment detected; it looks as though you’ve already said that!)

    1. No worries, sometimes WordPress doesn’t post the comments straight away. Yours should be fine because they’re not hitting my pending list for approval. I deleted your duplicate comments.

  3. I make my own chicken soup. It’s quite a process but totally worth it.

  4. Chicken soup is always good on a winter day, especially with a grilled cheese sandwich.

  5. I have a chicken noodle soup minus the noodles as a weekly staple. It’s just such a good meal.

  6. I am probably one of the few who really doesn’t like soup much. If I have to I will have plain tomato, but I prefer not to. I will take some vegemite toast instead if I am feeling unwell with a cold type virus. other maybe some jelly instead.

  7. I think I’ll exchange the chicken soup for ham and potato soup!

  8. I make a yummy chicken noodle soup and a creamy chicken and wild rice soup. Love them both! We are big soup fans here! My dad would make huge pots of Beef Vegetable Soup when I was growing up and I’ve continued that recipe with our family. It’s the family fave for sure. But I also cook potato soup, taco soup, black bean soup, cream of broccoli and broccoli cheese. I want to try my hand at butternut squash soup this year.

    1. Hi Barbara, Those soups sound so good! Butternut squash is known as butternut pumpkin in Australia and the best pumpkin/squash for soup, imho. Beef vegetable soup is always a winner. Taco soup is one I haven’t tried — I’ll look up recipes to see what’s in it. 😊

  9. There are so many cookies that I would love to bake right now. It has been too warm to turn on the oven. I would like to make sugar cookies, chocolate chip and butterscotch Scotchies. Debra Pruss USA.

  10. I love chicken soup! Especially when I don’t have to cook it 🙂

  11. Judith M. United States At our house, the cure for all that ails you is not chicken soup, it’s menudo. I even craved it when I was pregnant.

  12. I love a good steaming bowl of chili in the fall and winter. Served with some fresh cornbread, even better! ( is Chili a thing in Australia?)

    1. Hi Patty, I think your chili might be similar to what we call Chili con carne? My parents never cooked with chili or anything spicy. Half my family won’t eat chilli. Even mild Sweet Chilli Sauce (which I love with chicken schnitzel) is too spicy for them. Cornbread is not something we usually eat, either. Our food influences tend to be more European and Asian. 😊

  13. As long as it’s homemade, I’d take any soup! My favorites are chicken soup, potato soup with bacon and broccoli (or cauliflower) cheddar soup!!
    Katie R. USA

  14. I’m not a fan of soup, I’ll have chili or Shepard’s pie. If I’m sick, I’m eating eggs or toast because I’ll be nauseous too.
