SHORT BIO:
A fun loving Aussie girl at heart, NARELLE ATKINS was born and raised on the beautiful northern beaches in Sydney, Australia. She has settled in Canberra with her husband and children. A lifelong romance reader, she found the perfect genre to write when she discovered inspirational romance. Narelle’s contemporary stories of faith and romance are set in Australia and international locations.
MY WRITING JOURNEY:
I grew up on the beautiful northern beaches in Sydney, Australia and I’ve never lost my love for the ocean. I now reside in Canberra with my husband and children. I started writing romance in 1998 and when I discovered the inspirational romance genre in 1999, I knew I’d found a genre I would love to write. My contemporary romance stories are set in Australia and international locations.
Writing became a lower priority when my children were young. But my desire to write didn’t diminish and I started writing again during my precious few hours of ‘kid-free’ time.
In 2011 I served as Co-President of the Faith, Hope & Love (FHL) Inspirational Chapter of RWA (now known as Faith, Hope & Love Christian Writers and not affiliated with RWA) and I served as Vice President of FHL from 2008-10. I’m a member of American Christian Fiction Writers, Faith, Hope & Love Christian Writers, and Omega Writers Inc.
In September 2012 I sold my first book to Harlequin® Love Inspired® Heartsong Presents. I was thrilled to sign a six book contract in February 2013 for two 3-book series of contemporary inspirational romances set in Australia with Aussie characters. The first 3-book series was set in the fictitious small town of Snowgum Creek near the Snowy Mountains and the second 3-book series was set in Sydney. My debut book, Falling for the Farmer was released in February 2014. The book I initially sold, Her Tycoon Hero, was my fourth book release in November 2014.
I released my first independently published novella, His Perfect Catch in July 2015. It was available for a limited time in the SPLASH! multi-author boxed set.
In January 2016 I independently released The Bridesmaid’s Hero (A Snowgum Creek Novella). The novella was part of the limited edition Love Blossoms multi-author boxed set.
Seaside Christmas (A Sydney Sweethearts Novella) released in October 2016. The novella was available for a limited time in An Aussie Summer Christmas contemporary inspirational romance multi-author boxed set.
In 2018 I released Solo Tu, Book 7 in A Tuscan Legacy series set in Italy, England, Wales, USA and Australia.
In 2022 I started releasing my out-of-print Heartsong Presents backlist books. In 2023 I released two new books in multi-author series.
I’m represented by Steve Laube from The Steve Laube Agency.
