2024 September Sweet Treats Giveaway Day 12 – Yesterday Now And Always by Sara Beth Williams

Welcome to Day 12 of my September Sweet Treats Giveaway! Today our featured Trinity Lakes Romance book is Yesterday Now And Always by Sara Beth Williams. Don’t forget to comment on this post to gain an additional entry in the Grand Prize Drawing (see below).

Let’s talk about sweet treats we can indulge in while reading Yesterday Now And Always.

Today we’re visiting with Jake and Audrey. At the start of the story, Jake is getting ready to open a new restaurant in Trinity Lakes.

For our sweet treat today, we’re going out to dinner at a restaurant. What type of cuisine is your preference? Do you have a favourite dish?

Here’s the book description for Jake and Audrey’s romance story in YESTERDAY NOW AND ALWAYS:

He never expected to fall in love with her all over again.

After high school, Jake Monroe had the future all mapped out for him and high school sweetheart Audrey Wright. When Audrey is gifted a trip to New Zealand after her graduation and then spontaneously extends the trip from three months to twelve months, Jake is shattered.

From the age of six, Audrey Wright grew up in Trinity Lakes Washington as a dual NZ-US citizen. Adopted as a toddler, she’d never known her biological parents. During a whirlwind trip to New Zealand at eighteen to visit relatives, Audrey encounters a half-brother she never knew existed and makes the split decision to remain in New Zealand to rediscover the family she never dared to dream she’d find. But the cost of her spontaneous decision may be much higher than she realizes.

Eight years later, Jake returns to Trinity Lakes to fulfill his childhood dream of owning his own restaurant. Encountering Audrey again throws a wrench into his carefully laid out plans and dredges up old attraction that should’ve died when she’d chosen New Zealand over him. Regardless, he’s drawn to her as he was years prior. But mending the past and overcoming the anger and bitterness will take a miracle.

A small town, second chance high school sweethearts’ reunion, contemporary Christian Romance. Visit Trinity Lakes and meet the fun and quirky characters who value family, faith, and happily-ever-after.

Trinity Lakes Romance series can be read as standalone Christian contemporary romances. For a richer reading experience, and the opportunity to learn more about the characters who appear in multiple books, I’d recommend reading the series in order. The ebooks are available for your reading pleasure in Kindle Unlimited.

  1. Probably Italian although I like basics like roast lamb, steak etc.
I will order Spaghetti Bolognaise and for dessert I would like a slice of black forest cake

  2. I love Lasagna! I finally have mastered it so the family loves it. I love white meat fish or shrimp when I go out to eat. The family also loves Chinese cuisine. People always seem shocked that I don’t like scallops.
Sara Beth Williams also has a short story in the Covid Diaries. I have read a few of her books. I am automatically drawn to the word heart on the covers with a couple in love.

    1. Hi Audrey, Yay for making lasagna that your family loves to eat! I’m the only person in my family who eats lasagna. I like making vegetarian lasagna, and I’ll divide it up into lunch size portions to freeze and eat later. Chinese also works for me. I’m glad you’ve had the opportunity to read Sara’s books. 😊

  3. Steak would be my preference and I don’t usually order dessert.
    Carolyn F. USA

  4. If we are going to an upscale it would be a steak. If it was anything else, I would probably order a burger. If it was Italian, I would go with seafood alfredo. God bless you. Debra P. USA.

  5. When I eat out I tend to eat Chinese. Something I don’t cook much of at home.

  6. I Love Mexican food and I would have to have a piece of lemon meringue pie for dessert SARAH T. USA

  7. I enjoy BBQ. Some nice baby back ribs. For dessert if I order it would be ice cream. Debra G USA

  8. I don’t know that I have a favorite cuisine. I certainly have some that I like more than others. But I also like to be open to new things. We like kind of the things typical here where I live… Italian, Tex-Mex, and Chinese. I like a good steak, but I’m not as wild by them as some folks. I grew up with grandfather who raised cat and so we always had a freezer full of our beef. Steak was something we ate almost weekly. That said one of my favorite places to eat is a local upscale restaurant That has steak or seafood and then your side dishes are to be shared. There’s a group of us that go every year at Christmas. And we all get a different side dish so we can have a bit of everyone’s. The food is good, but the fellowship is better. And it’s one of the few times I have dessert out. My husband and I usually split something. He loves cheesecake so that’s usually what we get. This restaurant has a salted caramel cheesecake. That’s very good.

    1. Hi Barbara, Your Christmas meal with your friends sounds lovely. It’s fun sharing side dishes. I never say no to cheesecake, especially if it’s NY style baked cheesecake. Salted caramel cheesecake works for me. 😊

  9. I don’t go out to restaurants very often, but when I do, I enjoy ordering comfort food–like fried chicken and French fries, or mashed potatoes and gravy. 😀

  10. I tend to order things I’m trying to master or that I wouldn’t cook at home because it’s too much effort. For example pasta from scratch or a pastry.

    1. Hi Madi, I’ve never attempted to make home made pasta. Watching cooking shows convinced me that it was too much effort, lol. My husband will make pastry from scratch if we run out of pastry in the freezer.

The one thing I did learn how to make from watching a YouTube video is poached eggs. The recipe is foolproof and I perfected it during lockdown when the cafes etc. were closed. It’s fun being able to make my own smashed avo for a fraction of the price. 😊

  11. My favorite thing to get at a restaurant is either a wet burrito plato (lengua is my favorite meat) or super nachos. A wet burrito is filled with meat, rice, beans, salsa, and guacamole and covered with red chile sauce. Super nachos are tortilla chips piled high with meat (lengua again if I can get it but otherwise I choose carne asada) beans, salsa, guacamole, sour cream, and a ton of melted cheese. Then I put shredded lettuce on top.

  12. My favorite cuisine depends on my mood. I like most types of foods! I’m allergic to shellfish though, so no seafood places for me.
    Katie R. USA

  13. I’m not a very picky eater, but Italian and Mexican are two if my favorites! But I also always love a good steak.
    Patty R., USA

  14. Italian, Chinese, or American Barbecue. Bridgette S. USA. I forgot to put my name and country on my comment, earlier.

  15. I like making chicken pot pie, soups, chili, lasagna, and noodle/rice bowls at home. Stephanie H. USA

  16. I love seafood, Italian, Japanese and Cajun to name a few. Shrimp parmesan is a favorite since it combines seafood and Italian cuisine. Cherie J-USA

  17. Maybe Italian or Chinese but my favorite thing to eat is breakfast for dinner!
