Book Description:
When her cover is blown, it’s a desperate race for survival.
Forced into hiding after witnessing a double murder by an organized crime gang, Beth Ryder’s identity is suddenly leaked online and a kill order is placed on her head. Her survival is now in the hands of US Marshal Jake Cruz, who is determined to keep her alive. But when it becomes clear that more than one group is targeting Beth, the stakes are higher than ever. As they go on the run through dangerous Alaskan terrain with threats everywhere, Beth and Jake must outsmart their deadly enemies before they end up as collateral damage.

Narelle’s Thoughts:
I enjoyed reading Trapped on the Alaskan Glacier, Megan Short’s second book from Love Inspired Suspense that includes characters from her debut novel, Alaskan Police Protector. Beth is in witness protection in Alaska as part of an ongoing FBI investigation into an Eastern European crime gang. She has trust issues and, when her location is compromised, she isn’t happy when a new US Marshal handler is sent to extract her.
Jake arrives in Alaska on a mission to keep Beth safe. Her life is in danger and they’re on the run. Jake and Beth bond quickly as they are forced to work together to survive many intense and life threatening situations. Their romance is sweet and low key as they both try to ignore their growing romantic feelings and deal with past emotional baggage. Jake relies on his faith and Beth is challenged to consider if she can trust God.
I read the book quickly, within eight hours, because I was hooked from the opening chapter and had to keep turning the page to find out what happens next. I loved how the suspense plot kept me guessing. There were intriguing mysteries to solve, including international espionage.
I recommend Trapped on the Alaskan Glacier to romantic suspense readers who like action packed and high octane suspense with a protector hero, forced proximity, international espionage and strong faith elements in the story.
Many thanks to the author for the advanced reader copy.
