Book Recommendation – A Wedding to Adore by Evangeline Kelly

Book Description:

Can a wedding planner convince a man afraid of commitment that love is worth fighting for?

Brooklyn Melbourne knew since she was a little girl that wedding planning was her passion. After starting a new business with her two friends, she is determined to make it a success.

That is until…she gets a client with parents who threaten to ruin everything with their constant bickering. And then there is the brother of the bride. He’s tall, dark, and handsome, and completely smitten with Brooklyn. Except, he’s determined not to marry. Ever.

Jarrett Jeffries is a multi-million-dollar software developer who will do anything for his baby sister, including paying for her wedding. When he meets her wedding planner, he knows he has to keep her at arm’s distance, but that seems almost impossible when sparks fly and he can’t get her off his mind.

After a lifetime of dealing with contentious parents, Jarrett believes it’s better to play it safe and stay away from the institution of marriage.

But sometimes, life throws a curveball and one has to reevaluate everything they ever believed about love.

Narelle’s Thoughts:

I enjoyed reading A Wedding to Adore, the first book in Evangeline Kelly’s The Wedding Planners series set in Los Angeles. Brooklyn is a wedding planner who was fired by her awful boss for being too competent and looking after her clients too well. Brooklyn sets up a wedding planning business with two friends, and her first client is Jenny, one of her sister’s friends. The bride’s brother, Jarrett, is paying for Jenny’s wedding.

Jarrett is a wealthy software developer who lives in a beautiful Malibu beachfront home. He is attracted to Brooklyn, but he is upfront with her regarding his commitment issues. Jarrett’s father is an alcoholic, his mother is controlling, and both Jarrett and his sister, Jenny, have been emotionally damaged by their parent’s toxic relationship.

A fun and drama-filled friends-to-more romance develops as Brooklyn and Jarrett spend time together during the hectic couple of months of wedding planning. The story is in first person point of view, and the beach wedding setting in Jarrett’s garden is stunning. I recommend A Wedding to Adore to contemporary romance readers who like wedding planner romances with a relevant faith element in the story.
