Book Description:
A family scarred by tragedy…
Will find hope in an unlikely gardener
A summer escape to the quaint little town of River Cove is just what auntie turned mom Sofia Russo—and her troubled, energetic nephews—needs. It’s a chance to heal from grief and her broken foot. But a surprising friendship with compassionate gardener Nathaniel Turner shows Sofia just how much she’s been missing…and how much she stands to lose when summer ends.
Narelle’s Thoughts:
I enjoyed reading A Father for Her Boys, set in a small Wisconsin town. Sofia is a single parent to her orphaned nephews and she’s struggling to manage the young boys who miss their mom. Sofia jumps at the opportunity to housesit for the summer in a small town, take a break from her church office admin role, heal her broken ankle, and spend more time building a better relationship with her boys.
Nathaniel is a landscape gardener who looks after the grounds at the house where Sofia is house sitting. He avoids romantic entanglements after the painful loss of his childhood sweetheart, but he can’t resist helping Sofia and her adorable boys.
Sofia and Nathaniel form a beautiful friendship that could turn into something more as a town project brings them closer together and challenges them to consider a future as a family. I recommend A Father for Her Boys to contemporary romance readers who like friends to more single parent romances with a strong faith element in the story.
