Are you looking for a writing mentor?

It can be difficult to navigate the publishing world and work out how to publish our books. My name is Narelle Atkins and I’ve been a published author since 2014. I started out as a traditionally published author with a six book contract with Harlequin’s Love Inspired Heartsong Presents line. I’ve moved into independent (indie) publishing and learned how to publish my fiction books in an affordable and sustainable way that connects my books with my readers.

I’m an Australian author who understands the challenges we face in reaching our target audience of readers in Australia and overseas. Each writer has their own unique writing journey to travel and there’s no one-size-fits-all publishing solution. Read more about my writing journey here.

I’m a co-founder of Australasian Christian Writers (ACW) website and group blog that was established in 2013. We have an ACW Facebook Group with free resources for writers.

Testimonials

As a writing mentor on Zoom, Narelle demonstrated active listening skills. Prior to the meeting, Narelle asked to email some of my writing, and also asked ‘What goals have you set for yourself?’ She is mature, a published author, and creates a safe space where I felt accepted and appreciated. She provided constructive feedback that set me back on the road to complete my Memoir. I love the motivation she injected into my life, dispelling my fears, giving me the confidence to keep writing. For some reason, I’ve always felt ‘not good enough’ but slowly, this attitude has changed. I’m ready to complete my story, and bring it to the finishing line. Woo Hoo.
