Book Recommendation – Unexpected Danger by Penny Zeller

Book Description:

One man’s unhealthy obsession could destroy everything.

Londyn Siegler never imagined her attempt at a fresh start would include a stalker intent on watching her every move. Nor did she imagine her unidentified stalker would follow her back to the very place she was running from–and now the only place that can offer even a semblance of protection.

Now, as danger grows and the stalker remains at large, Londyn finds herself seeking refuge with Sheriff Brodie Brenneman, the man whose heart she broke. When the stalker’s attacks increase in severity, Londyn and Brodie find themselves fighting for their lives…and their rekindled love. Can justice be served before it’s too late?

An unexpected stalker.
An unexpected second chance at love.
An unexpected danger.

Narelle’s Thoughts:

I enjoyed reading Unexpected Danger, the second book in Penny Zeller’s Mountain Justice romantic suspense series. Londyn moved to the city after rejecting Brodie’s marriage proposal. She’s working as a debt collector and living alone in her apartment. The story opens with Londyn dealing with a stalker situation in the middle of the night.

Brodie is the sheriff in their hometown near the mountains and he lives on the family ranch. Londyn left town without explaining to Brodie why she rejected him and rejected his family who had embraced her as one of their own.

Brodie unexpectedly reconnects with Londyn in a dangerous and life threatening situation. She needs his help to protect her from a stalker. I loved journeying with Londyn and Brodie in their charming friends-to-more romance as they work through their emotional baggage while trying to catch the elusive stalker.

The twists and turns in the suspense plot kept me guessing. I loved reuniting with Brodie’s family from Unexpected Witness, the first book in the series. The quirky side characters were amusing and I loved the satisfying story ending. Trust, rejection, and forgiveness themes are explored in the story.

I recommend Unexpected Danger to romantic suspense readers who like second chances and friends-to-more romances with danger, suspense, a scary stalker situation, and strong faith elements in the story.
